Lynn and Bourdais sets Cadillac on top of day 1

Almost all drivers (Except Loïc Duval) did improve their fastest lap during the second (night) session with Lynn and Bourdais setting both Cadillac V-Series.R on top of day 1.

Thanks to the night cooler temperatures, Alex Lynn in the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA was more than 2 seconds faster than Robert Kubica (fastet of session 1) in 1:39.575. Sebastien Bourdais with #38 JOTA Cadillac was second in 1:39.788.

Ferrari #50 third

Antonio Fuoco with the #50 AF Corse Ferrari 499P was third in 1:39.801, 26 thousands of seconds more than two-tenths off the sessions’ benchmark.

Porsche #5 fourth

Julien Andlauer was the fastest Penske Porsche drivers ending up fourth with the #5 Porsche 963 in 1:39.873, the last one under the 1:40’ mark.

Both Ferrari follow

Robert Kubica with the #83 499P from AF Corse took fifth in 1:40.264. Antonio Giovinazi was sixth in #50 Ferrari in 1:40.354.

Two sessions for a total of 7 hours are scheduled today at Lusail International Circuit at 12pm and 5pm.

Two 90-minute free practice sessions kick off the race week on Wednesday February 26, including one which ends after sunset. The starting grid will be determined in qualifying and Hyperpole on Thursday (5.40pm local, 3.40pm CET) while the race starts at 2pm (midday CET) on Friday 28 February.
