Farfus tops day 1 practices at Bathurst

Today’s first practice finally was the fastest of four practices so far at Bathurst. In preparation of the Bathurst 12 hours, first round of the 2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge season, Augusto Farfus drove the fastest lap of the day. Five drivers were faster than Maro Engel’s fastest lap during practice 3. Two of the four practices were reserved to Bronze drivers only.

#32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 first

Augusto Farfus led the way in today’s practices for Sunday’s Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour with #32 BMW Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 he shares with the van der Linde brothers. Farfus was credited with a best lap of 2:02.900.

#75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo second

Luca Stolz in #75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo was 0.314 seconds slower ending second of first practice and today’s timesheets.

Engel tops practice 3 still third of the day

A second Mercedes-AMG is ranked in the top three of today’s sessions thanks to Maro Engel with #888 GruppeM Mercedes-AMG who was third quickest in 2:03.4210. Maro Engel has also been credited with the fastest lap time of third practice in 2:03.8510 which is the 6th fastest lap of the day.

Second Team WRT BMW fourth

Valentino Rossi did put his #46 WRT BMW in fourth with a fastest lap of 2:03.8320.

Third Mercedes-AMG in the top 5

Lucas Auer driving the #77 Craft Bamboo Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO round out the top 5 in 2:03.8420.
