List of 2024 Bronze Cup full season entries
Garage 59
#188 Garage 59 Mc Laren 720S GT3 EVO ended third last year Bronze cup winning the two sprint races at Misano and the Endurance race at Barcelona. On paper, they are favorites but competition is coming with new weapons and new lineups that are game changers comparing to last season. James Cottingham, who knows drives the 720 S GT3 in WEC will replace Miguel Ramos this week end as he is still convalescing after a recent surgery.
Sky Tempesta Racing keeps #93 but with a Ferrari 296 GT3 instead of the 2023 Mc Laren 720S GT3 EVO. In 2023, they only participated to the Endurance races with four podiums in five races: P2 at Monza, 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and NΓΌrburgring, P3 at Circuit Paul Ricard. They ended 6th for the last season race at Barcelona. Let us see how they adapt to the 24 Hours of NΓΌrburgring winning Ferrari but, based on 2023 performance, Sky Tempesta Racing is definitively a serious candidate for the invitation.
Tresor Attempto Racing won the FANATEC GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE POWERED BY AWS Sprint Cup Overall with four wins at Brands hatch, Hockenheim, Zandvoort (twice) as well as TEAMS FANATEC GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE POWERED BY AWS Silver TEAMS Cup last year hence they are in our top three for this season.
AF Corse is back with #52 Ferrari 296 GT3 and the Michiels family and Gold driver Andrea BERTOLINI.
Dinamic GT did plan to run two FORD Mustang GT3 until both FORD and Dinamic GT announced they were abandoning the tests together. FORD will be represented by Proton Competition and Dinamic GT come back to the Porsche 911 GT3 R with #54 (in PRO last year) instead of the traditional #55 for Bronze Cup. Philipp Sager remains the Bronze Driver with two new drivers: Dienst as Gold driver and Moura De Oliveira as Silver Driver.
Team WRT is back in the Bronze Cup with a new number (#30 instead of #31 last year) and a new lineup with Ahmad Al Harthy who is also part of the WEC team in LMGT3 and demonstrated being one of the fastest Bronze drivers with an Aston Martin Vantage last year in WEC and ELMS. Team WRT ended second the FANATEC GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE POWERED BY AWS TEAMS Cup last year with victories at Misano, Valencia thanks to its Pro drivers lineups.
Barwell Motorsport #78 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 ended second the FANATEC GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE POWERED BY AWS PRO-AM TEAMS Cup last year with two class victories at Monza and NΓΌrburgring. This year they maximise their chance for the 24 Hours of Le Mans invitation entering two Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2: #72 and #78.
Rutronik Racing did participate to the 2023 season with a strong Porsche Works lineup: Thomas PREINING, Laurin HEINRICH and Dennis OLSEN with #96 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992). Results were not at the expected level of the drivers lineup with only one podium at Barcelona. Let us see how they represent Porsche with a new lineup in Bronze Cup.
Second season in GT World Challenge Europe for Comtoyou Racing who traded the Audis (5th last year) for Aston Martin Vantage GT3s and first in Bronze Cup with John De Wilde and Job van Uitert for sprint races. Kobe Pauwels will be part of the Endurance lineup.
