Out of the five Ferrari 296 GT3s at the start in the final round of the GT World Challenge Endurance Cup held today in Barcelona, four scored each a podium seat with a double-win for the two AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors, a first place for ST Racing with Rinaldi in the Pro-Am class and a third place in Silver Cup for #53 AF Corse.

The two Ferraris driven by Rovera and Serra dominated their stint after a brilliant start but lost their 11-second-plus advantage with the first Safety Car. Shwartzman and Rigon took over the wheel in P2 and P4 with Mercedes #777 taking the lead and #88 in P3.

The next four safety cars punctuating the race re-compacted the group every time. There were 19 minutes left after the last Safety Car which made the top four cars crossing checkered flag within 4.558 sec. As the provisional leader Stolz (#777), received a five-second penalty to add to his overall race time due to a collision in the early stages, Nielsen and Fuoco, who had taken over from their teammates, were classified first and second overall, Porsche #96 third and #777 Mercedes fourth.

#71 AF Corse - Francorchamps Motors Ferrari 296 GT3 trio of Antonio Fuoco, Daniel Serra and Davide Rigon end second.

First overall podium for the latest generation of Porsche 911 GT3 R thanks to a P3 of #96 Rutronik Racing Porsche of works drivers Prening, Heinrich and Olsen who were leading a train of 4 GT3 during the last 19 minutes.

Despite crossing checkered flag first, Engel, Stolz and Schiller with the #777 Mercedes-AMG Team AlManar were classified fourth as they received a five-second penalty to add to their overall race time due to a collision in the early stages

Akkodis ASP fifth but champion

Fifth-place finish for the #88 Mercedes-AMG and second successive Endurance Cup title for Akkodis ASP. Their only rival for the title (#98 Rowe Racing BMW) was never in contention during the race ending 10th overall. 

It It is the second Endurance Cup title for Marciello (six overall Fanatec GT Europe titles) and Gounon; the first for Boguslavskiy.

The Akkodis ASP team also sealed both overall Fanatec GT Europe titles with Marciello and Boguslavskiy the drivers' title and Akkodis ASP the teams' championship.
