Inter Europol Competition first win in ELMS
The 4 Hours of Le Castellet was a race fun of twists and turns ending with the first ever LMP2 victory in the ELMS of the #43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca-Gibson.

Inter Europol Competition almost clinched the double at Circuit Paul Ricard as both LMP2 were leading the race between laps 107 and 114 until the then leading #34 stopped on track with 19 minutes remaining when the car got stuck in second gear, letting Sebastian Alvarez, Vladislav Lomko and Tom Dillmann through to the lead and winning the second round of the ELMS Championship.

#47 Cool Racing Oreca 07 Gibson of Paul-Loup Chatin, Frederik Vesti and Alex Garcia were promoted second after the #28 IDEC Sport Oreca received a ten-second penalty from race direction. Barcelona winning sister car #37 did lead the race for the highest number of laps (39 for #37 versus 36 for #43) until it came to a halt on track with 43 minutes to go.

Surprised Louis Deletraz coming down from the podium from the third step after ending fourth also benefiting from #28 IDEC penalty. Louis Deletraz said Car Racing Reporter βYes, those are good points for the championship!β. His team mate Jonny Edgar was a strong leader during his first stint overtaking the then leading #28 IDEC Racing during lap 4. Robert Kubica dropped down to third even fifth until Deletraz brought the #14 AO by TF in fourth.

#28 IDEC Sport Oreca of Paul Lafargue, Reshad de Gerus and Job van Uitert are classified fourth after receiving a ten-second penalty for zigzagging and blocking #43 when Job van Uitert was defending the race lead against Tom Dillmann at the restart for a Full Course Yellow.

The #22 United Autosports ORECA of Ben Hanley, Filip Ugran and Marino Sato take fifth since Hanley lost his one lap lead suffering a late-race tyre issue.
