24 Hours of Nürburgring Qualifyers PRO Entries
Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and BMW will support 19 GT3 PRO for the Nürburgring 24 Qualifiers races this weekend in preparation for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring May 20th - June 2nd.
The two four-hour races are scheduled Saturday 13/4 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 14/4 at 1 p.m. CEST.
Here are the PRO Cup entries for the Qualifiers races.
Frikadelli’s Ferrari as #1
Last year’s N24 winners Frikadelli field the #1 Ferrari 296 GT3 with a new lineup: Nico Varrone, Luca Ludwig, Daniel Keilwitz and Felipe Fernandez Laser will run the Ferrari this year.
Three BMW M4 GT3
Last year runner up Rowe Racing fields two BMW M4 GT3: #98 will be driven by Raffaele Marciello, Maxime Martin and Marco Wittman; sister #99 will be driven by Sheldon van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor and Augusto Farfus.
BMW M Team RMG will see the BMW M Works junior drivers Charles Weerts, Max Hesse and Dan Harper on the wheel. Interesting to see how BMW M Motorsport has been mixing GT World Challenge Europe lineups from Team WRT and ROWE Racing to form three serious lineups for victory.
Five factory-supported Mercedes-AMG GT3
Two Mercedes-AMG GT3 ended respectively 3rd and 4th last year 24 Hours edition. Haupt Racing Team and GetSpeed Performance will field five Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the qualifiers weekend.
Haupt Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo #3 will see Maximilian Goetz, Daniel Juncadella, Arjun Maini and Luca Stolz aboard while sister #4 will be driven by Arjun Maini, Michele Bretta, Frank Bird and Jusuf Owega.
GetSpeed Performance will field three Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO: #8 with Mikael Grenier, Lucas Auer and Adam Christodolou; #9 with Mikael Grenier (double duty with #8), Philip Ellis and Fabian Schiller; #130 with Adam Christodoulou (double duty with #8), Maro Engel and Jules Gounon.
Four teams for five Porsche 911 GT3 R
Dennis Olsen and Julien Andlauer who ended 5th (together with Matteo Cairoli) last year driving the #96 Porsche 911 GT3 R by Rutronik Racing are split among two teams (of the four):
Falken Motorsports #33 will be driven by Julien Andlauer, Klaus Bachler, Sven Mueller and Alessio Picariello and sister #44 will have Tim Heinemann, Sven Müller (double duty), Nico Menzel and Martin Ragginger on board;
Herberth Motorsport #5 will have Dennis Olsen, Vincent Kolb and Robert Renauer behind the wheel;
Dinamic GT #54 will be shared by Marco Holzer, Marco Seefried, Bastian Buus and Marvin Dienst;
Manthey EMA #911 with Ayhancan Guven and Thomas Preining.
2022 winning Audi with Scherer Sport PHX
Frédéric Vervisch, part of Audi’s most recent N24-winning crew in 2022, Christopher Mies and Dennis Olsen who were driving the Ford Mustang GT3 in P10 overall at Le Castellet last weekend as FORD works drivers are back to their previous employer for the ring contest. Olsen with Porsche (read above), Vervisch and Mies with Audi.
Vervisch teams up with Christopher Haase and Dennis Marschall with #15 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II; Mies will drive sister car #16 with Frank Stippler and Ricardo Feller.
Lamborghini with Team Abt
Kelvin van der Linde, Marco Mapelli, Jordan pepper who ended ninth overall last year (together with Thiim) in the #27 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 will drive #27 Red Bull Team Abt Lamborghini Huracan GT3 at the Nordschleife.
Aston Martin with two Pro teams
Aston Martin teams field two PRO entries, with #34 Walkenhorst Motorsport Vantage GT3 Evo lineup of Nicki Thiim, David Pittard, Christian Krognes and Kuba Giermaziak.
Nico Bastian, Marek Böckmann and Yelle Buurman will share #17 PROsport Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3.
